CANTON, Ohio (AP) – A northeast Ohio man out on bond after being charged with trying to harm his estranged wife has been charged with aggravated murder after the woman was fatally shot in the parking lot of a Canton nursing home.
The Stark County Sheriff’s Office says 38-year-old Dragan Sekulic was arrested by State Highway Patrol troopers about five hours after he fled the scene of the shooting Wednesday that killed 37-year-old Celjka Sekulic.
Court records show Dragan Sekulic was charged with felonious assault and domestic violence in late November after authorities say he rammed his wife’s car and tipped it over into a ditch. He was freed on a $100,000 bond after his arrest. He’s now being held on a $5 million bond.
Sekulic’s attorney declined to comment.
