Lowellville to recommend P.J. Mays for coach

P.J. Mays will be recommended to the Lowellville School Board to be the Rockets' new head football coach.

LOWELLVILLE, Ohio (WKBN) – It appears Lowellville has found its next head coach.

Former YSU standout P.J. Mays will be recommended to the Board of Education next week.  Mays has spent the past 3 years as the head football coach at Youngstown East…where he posted a record of 5-25.

Mays will inherit a program that’s posted just one winning season over the last 12 years.

He replaces Jeff D’Altorio who posted a record of 17-34 heading up the Rockets’ program for the past five seasons.
