Sharon PD: Man tried to run after court hearing, tased by officer

Zachariah Hardman-Corenlio was taken under custody to the Mercer County Jail after being pulled over for having a warrant.

SHARON, Pa. (WKBN) – Sharon Police arrested a man who they say attempted to run from a police officer after a court hearing Tuesday.

According to a release, police arrested Zachariah Hardman-Cornelio, 22, charging him with felony escape.

The release states that Sharon Police originally arrested Hardman-Cornelio on a warrant for trying to flee a traffic stop.

When police took Hardman-Cornelio out of a Sharon magistrate’s office after being arraigned, they said he tried to run but was stopped a short distance away since he was wearing a restraint belt and leg shackles. Hardman-Cornelio also tried to kick an officer who chased him, at which time the officer shocked him with a Taser.
