Angels for Animals holding vaccination clinic

CANFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) – Are your pets caught up on their yearly vaccinations? If not, Angels for Animals can help out.

The organization is holding a Rabies Clinic at its shelter in Canfield on Saturday. Pet owners can get their pets vaccinated for a year, or three years, for $6.

The clinic is a fundraiser for the shelter and its animals.

Health experts say it’s important to remember these vaccinations don’t just help keep your pet healthy, they can also keep your family safe. Humans can get rabies from pets that are not vaccinated, and it can be deadly.

Angels for Animals Medical Manager Kristin Wagner said the vaccination can also save you quite a bit of cash.

“You’re having a vet administering the rabies vaccine, so it is going to be good for proof of rabies vaccination,” she said. “It’s a great deal. You don’t have to pay for an exam fee, or primary practice, or anything like that.”

The clinic starts at 1 p.m. Saturday and runs until 4 p.m.

Angels for Animals is located at 4750 W. South Range Rd. in Canfield.
