Harding blows by Canfield with balanced attack

Five Raiders scored in double figures as Harding improves to 4-0.

Canfield, OH (WKBN) – The Warren Harding boys basketball team defeated Canfield, 86-50 in All American Conference play Friday night at Canfield High School.

The Raiders got off to a quick start with full court pressure and led 40-28 at halftime. The Cardinals kept within striking distance in the third quarter, but Harding blew things open late.

Five different Raiders scored in double figures, led by Shakem Johnson with 21 points. Gabe Simpson had 19 points, while Tiryn Frank had 14, Derek Culver 13, and Mark Herron with 10.

Canfield was led by Mason Mangapora with 13 points, while Vince Ferrier added 12. The Cardinals drop to 3-2 on the season and 2-1 in the AAC Red Division.

Warren Harding improves to 4-0 on the season and travel to Howland next Tuesday to take on the Tigers.
