Tim Ryan hosts a breakfast in Niles for military academy students.

NILES, Ohio (WKBN) – Congressman Tim Ryan hosted a breakfast in Niles on Sunday for military academy nomination students.

He talked to about a dozen teens who have been nominated to the U.S. Naval, Military and Air Force Academies. The message was about maximizing your full potential as a responsible adult.

Ryan also supports reducing the cost of college for students who choose that path.

“From the state level, we need more state support. That has declined a great deal over the last 10-15 years. That kept tuition in check. The Pell Grant, we need to make sure that that is funded too, so that people can access that money too to pay for college,” he said.

Congressman Ryan also adds if colleges reduce extra spending, that would help with the cost for students.
