Mathews hands Ridge their first loss

MINERAL RIDGE, Ohio (WKBN) – Mathews hands Mineral Ridge their first loss of the season 84-73 behind Clay O’Dell’s 30 points. The Mustangs also featured two other players who added 17 apiece in Chris McWicker (4 3-point field goals) and Sean McDivitt.

Mathews held onto a one-point lead at halftime (35-34) but the Mustangs outscored the Rams by a 49-39 margin in the second half.

Ridge (4-1) was led by Zane Rummell’s 32 points (8 rebounds) while Albert Alli had 9 points and hauled down 8 caroms. Riko Rodriguez also chipped in with 10 points.

Windham visits Mathews on Friday while Mineral Ridge travels to McDonald to take on the Blue Devils.
