Quaker Steak bankruptcy hearing postponed

AKRON, Ohio (WKBN) – A bankruptcy hearing in Akron for the Quaker Steak and Lube franchise was postponed Tuesday.

Quaker Steak filed for bankruptcy in November.

Travel Centers of America had already offered to buy Quaker Steak for $25 million, but that deal isn’t final.

If another bidder offers $250,000 more than Travel Centers, Quaker Steak attorneys want an auction.

If Quaker Steak is able to make the auction happen, it would be held on Feb. 9.
