WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Three men were arrested during an investigation of drug complaints near the Powerhouse Bar on Mahoning Avenue.
The Warren Street Crimes Unit observed what appeared to be a drug deal in the parking lot of the Powerhouse Bar at 10:40 p.m. Monday, according to a Warren City Police report. Officers in an unmarked car reported seeing a man sitting in a red Pontiac Grand Prix with the car running.
He was approached by another man, who walked from across the street and sat in the passenger seat.
Police said, when approaching the two men, an officer saw a bag of crack cocaine in the hands of the driver.
The man in the driver’s side of the vehicle, Anthony Jones, 28, was charged with possession of drugs. Police said Jones was carrying $241 in cash, which was taken as evidence.
The passenger, Rashawn Jordan, 28, was charged with possession of heroin, carrying a concealed weapon and having weapons under disability.
Police said a search discovered that Jordan was wearing a bullet proof vest, and he was carrying a gun and heroin in his pocket.
Officers also spotted a Chevy Malibu running in the parking lot, which was approached by 27-year-old Katrell Jones. When confronted, police said Jones, who took something out of the car, threw a bag of heroin on the ground.
He was charged with possession of heroin.
The men were taken to Trumbull County Jail.
