YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – If you wanted to run for local office, Wednesday was the last day to file your paperwork.
At 2 p.m., a group of Republican candidates did so at the Mahoning County Board of Elections. In all, the GOP has 11 contenders hoping to be on the ballot this May.
Each candidate needed at least 50 valid signatures, which will be certified by the Board of Elections. The process is expected to take several weeks.
