WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – A Warren man and Cortland woman were charged Tuesday with possession of drugs after a traffic stop.
Quentin Dowell, 30, and Cassandra Scott, 26, were stopped near E. Market Street and Iddings Avenue for failing to signal, according to a Warren City Police report.
Police said Dowell, the passenger, had no identification, and he was seen reaching toward the floorboard of the vehicle. A search of Dowell uncovered two syringes and a spoon in the pocket of his pants and a white powder inside an envelope, according to the report. Police said Oxycodone and Hydrochloride pills were also found in Dowell’s coat pocket.
A search of the vehicle uncovered syringes and a spoon inside a makeup bag and heroin underneath a seat, according to the report. Scott denied that the items belonged to her.
Scott was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, drug abuse instruments, drugs and tampering with evidence. Dowell was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, drug abuse instruments and drugs.
They were taken to Trumbull County Jail.
