Hubbard’s George Hill heading to Pitt

Hubbard Senior George Hill has announced that he will continues his football career in the college ranks at Pittsburgh.

HUBBARD, Ohio (WKBN) – Hubbard Senior George Hill will play college football at Pittsburgh.  He made the announcement at Hubbard High School Friday afternoon.

Hill rushed for 1,006 yards and twelve touchdowns in eight games for the Eagles.  He also caught 13 passes for 111 yards and a touchdown.

Defensively he finished with one sack and one interception this past Fall.

Hill is a two-time Big-22 selection by Sports Team 27.

The four-star athlete originally committed to play at Ohio State, but decommitted from the Buckeyes in October.

Hill joins Austintown Fitch graduate Darrin Hall who is currently a running back for the Panthers.

Hill was also considering Michigan State, and drew strong interest from Wisconsin in recent days.
