BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – John Ryan’s three-pointer with :03 left sealed up a 50-47 for Boardman over Niles Friday night. The Spartans rallied from a 7-point deficit in the second half.
Ryan finished with 8 points on the night.
Niles had one final chance to tie the game at the buzzer, but Cameron Kane-Johnson’s attempt at a three-pointer was no-good. Kane-Johnson scored a game-high 17 points in the setback.
Gannon Murray led the Spartans with 14 points, while Coleman Stauffer added 9 in the victory. Mike Melewski finished with 8 for the Spartans.
Corbin Foy tallied 9 points, while River Hansen chipped in with 7 for the Red Dragons.
Both teams improve to 4-2 on the season.
