Victims sexually assaulted at knifepoint in New Castle

NEW CASTLE, Pa (WKBN) – The New Castle Police Department is investigating a report of two sexual assaults that occurred after midnight on Thursday.

The victims were walking in the area of Logan Street and Boyles Avenue when they were approached by a male with a mask and carrying a knife. The male sexually assault the victims prior to fleeing the area on foot, according to police.

The New Castle Police Department Criminal Investigative Division is conducting the investigation and is following up possible leads in the case.

The Police Department has increased both marked and unmarked patrols in the area. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the New Castle Police Department at 724-656-3585.
