ARNOLD, Pa. (AP) – Police say an 18-year-old suspect has surrendered on a charge of criminal homicide in the fatal shooting of a 51-year-old western Pennsylvania man after a street fight earlier this week.
The victim, Donald Williams, of Arnold, died from a gunshot to the torso after Arnold police say a fight was reported outside a vacant home about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday. The fight grew from a few teenage girls to about 20 people on the residential street in a lower middle-class neighborhood about 20 miles northeast of Pittsburgh.
Eighteen-year-old Erik Lamont Reed Jr. surrendered Thursday evening and was arraigned Friday morning.
Online court records don’t list an attorney for Reed, who faces a preliminary hearing Jan. 6.
