CANFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) – The Ohio State Highway Patrol released the results from Friday night’s OVI checkpoint on Belmont Avenue in Youngstown.
A total of 120 vehicles passed through the checkpoint that was held between 9:30 p.m. and 12 a.m.
According to the release, three arrests for OVI were made, along with two felony arrests for Drug Abuse and one arrest on a felony warrant. There were four summons for Driving Under Suspension and five summons for misdemeanor Drug Abuse, in addition to four citations for Adult Restraint.
OSP worked in collaboration with the Youngstown Police Department, who also passed out three $50 gift cards to families in need that passed through the checkpoint.
