Snyder’s 27 lifts Valley Christian past Aquinas

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Valley Christian girls’ basketball team opened their game against St. Thomas Aquinas with a 22-8 start in the first quarter. The Lady Eagles held off the Knights to post a 59-52 win.

India Snyder connected on a trio of three-point shots en route to a 27 point performance which featured 6 rebounds and 5 steals for the Eagles. Imane Snyder and Arlivian Cheirs both finished with 10 points.

Aquinas’ Micah Rhodes led the Knights with 20 points as Hayley Rorie finished with 11.

Valley Christian returns to action with a road trip to Vienna to take on Mathews on Monday. Aquinas welcomes Malvern on Monday.
