WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Several $50 bills were turned into the FBI on Saturday after they were discovered to be counterfeit.

A store manager at the Family Dollar on Mahoning Avenue told police that the money was discovered to be fake by Huntington Bank, where she made a deposit for the store. Police said 11 $50 bills were discovered as fake, as well as one still at the store.

The store manager told police that the money was used by an unknown man who came into the store and purchased gift cards using $500 in $50 bills. He was described as a short black man with a short hair cut, wearing jeans and a red leather coat with white sleeves.
