Mill Creek Park Board discusses new impound lot

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – Mill Creek Park is hoping to make a little money when police have to have a car towed from the park.

On Monday, the Park Board set guidelines for a new impound lot, which will be inside the park.

Currently, whenever a car is towed, the tow truck operator takes it to one of their lots. Now, the vehicles will stay inside the park.

“It’s going to be more convenient for people who have their vehicles towed, so they are not being towed to an offsite location outside the park, and it will also bring revenue in that was going out of the park. Now it comes back to the park,” said Mill Creek Park Police Chief Jim Willock.

The new impound lot will be on Glenwood Avenue, behind the Mill Creek Park Police Department.
