COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) – Ohio Gov. John Kasich has launched a women’s coalition in the first of his presidential campaign trail rounds to include his wife and twin daughters.

The Republican governor announced Women for Kasich on Monday during an event in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, joined by First Lady Karen Kasich and daughters Emma and Reese.

The campaign stops in the key primary state marked the first time the whole family had taken part in Kasich’s presidential events outside Ohio.

Kasich also stopped Monday in Greenland, Rochester and Concord.

Kasich is still seeking to gain national traction in a crowded GOP field and has been polling among the lower tier of candidates. He touts his strong New Hampshire ground game as the way he’ll make a top-tier finish and break from the pack.
