Buccieri’s late free throws keep Poland perfect

Nick Buccieri connected on a pair of free throws with just 0.7 seconds remaining to lead Poland to a 54-52 win over Austintown Fitch Tuesday night.

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Nick Buccieri connected on a pair of free throws with just 0.7 seconds remaining to lead Poland to a 54-52 win over Austintown Fitch Tuesday night.  Buccieri stole the Fitch inbounds pass and was subsequently fouled to setup his game-clinching trip to the free throw line.

Buccieri finished with 13 points on the night.

Poland was led by Jacob Burns who tallied a game-high 19 points.  Jared Burkert finished with 11 in the victory for the Bulldogs.

The Falcons were led by Dom Difrancesco who finished with 12.  Derek Gunter added 11 in the loss, while Brian Beany and Scott Duffy added 10.  Vic Pangio chipped in with 9 for the Falcons.

Poland improves to 7-0 overall (3-0 AAC).  Fitch drops to 3-3 overall (1-2 AAC).
