BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Magic Tree is giving back to the community as part of donations raised from its second annual “Cranksgiving” event.

The event is held around Thanksgiving each year. Proceeds from this year’s event were donated to Akron Children’s Hospital.

The Magic Tree was able to donate more than $1,200 to the hospital.

“So many people that I know have been touched by what this organization has done, and it just reiterates how important it is to have Akron Children’s right here in our community,” Magic Tree owner Phill Reda said.
