YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Police are looking for a man who flipped a van on the side of Interstate 680 and then left the scene.
The driver was described as a Hispanic man, a Youngstown Police officer told WKBN.
The van was flipped on its side around noon Thursday, forcing traffic on I-680 southbound to one lane from around 12 p.m to 1 p.m. The crash occurred near the Mahoning Avenue exit.
Police say the driver tried to kick the front windshield to get out of the vehicle. There was a large hole in the windshield, but the driver appeared to have escaped in some other way.
It is unknown why the driver left the scene at this time. No other cars were involved in the accident.
