YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – U.S. Marshals have arrested a man involved in a domestic dispute on Youngstown’s east side.

On November 24, police say Ronald Magby tried to kill a woman by cutting the gas lines in the home they shared. He ended up setting himself on fire in the process.

Since then, he has been in an Akron burn unit for his third-degree burns, for which he is still receiving treatment. Police arrested him there on Wednesday.

Magby was charged with kidnapping and aggravated arson, according to court records.

With bandages and in a wheelchair, Magby appeared in Youngstown Municipal Court on video Thursday. He is now being held on $50,000 bond inside a medical unit at the Mahoning County Jail.
