WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – A group of volunteers put their own holiday traditions on hold to spread joy to others.
Volunteers with the Warren Family Mission visited both the Gillette Nursing Home and the Washington Square Nursing Home on Friday morning to spread some Christmas cheer. Though each resident received a Christmas gift, one volunteer said it is about much more than that.
“It’s good to get out on Christmas morning and spread the love throughout the world, and especially with these gentlemen here that are veterans and served our country well. We’re just representing Warren Family Mission and helping to share the love throughout the day,” said Don Strock.
The Warren Family Mission has been doing these visits for years and looks forward to continuing the tradition in the future.
