Beaver, United Local will not receive additional funding

LISBON, Ohio (WKBN) – The Morning Journal is reporting that Beaver Local and United Local schools will not receive the additional state funding that they were expecting for the current school year.

A revision was made to the new two-year budget passed by the state legislature in June. The budget was supposed to increase funding for each district in the county.

Beaver was expecting to see $390,000 in new money and United was expecting $90,000. While the remaining districts in the county will still see an increase, these two will not.

The Morning Journal contributed to this report.
