Police say Ohio woman dies from 2014 shooting

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) – Police in central Ohio say a 63-year-old woman has died more than a year after she was shot during a home invasion robbery.

Columbus police still are seeking leads to the Dec. 18, 2014, shooting of Pamela Sue Estridge. Police said in a Saturday evening press release that she was pronounced dead the night of Dec. 23 at Kettering Medical Center near Dayton. They cited injuries from the original incident as the cause.

Other details weren’t available immediately, but police at the time of the shooting last year reported she sustained life-threatening wounds and wasn’t expected to survive.

Police said they found her apartment door open and Estridge lying inside. They said witnesses saw two or more men wearing ski masks and bandannas flee the north side Columbus apartment.
