Boil alert to go into effect for Hubbard Monday night

HUBBARD, Ohio (WKBN) – The city of Hubbard has issued a boil alert for its customers starting Monday night, according to a press release.

The release states that starting at 7 p.m. Monday, Hubbard water users should boil their water for a minute before using it. The boil alert will be in effect until at least 8 a.m. Wednesday.

The city has also sent out a voluntary water conservation request, beginning Monday.

Starting at 7 a.m., the city is asking water customers to refrain from any “unnecessary usage.” The city is repairing a few minor leaks in its main water transmission line, and the project should take eight to nine hours to complete, according to Hubbard City Service Director Daniel Livingston.
