Poland girls continue dominant streak

The Bulldogs beat Struthers, 67-49 Monday, led by 21 points from Bella Gajdos.

Struthers, OH (WKBN) – The Poland girls basketball team has won four games this season by 40 points or more… Monday’s margin of victory against rival Struthers was much closer. The Bulldogs topped the Wildcats 67-49 at the Struthers Fieldhouse.

Poland had four players in double figures, with sophomore point guard Bella Gajdos leading the way with 21 points. Junior Emily Melnek had 17, freshman Sarah Bury chipped in 13, and junior Jillian Penman added 11 for the Bulldogs.

Struthers was paced by senior Caitlin Kane’s 19 point effort. Kahylah Brown followed with 18 in the scorebook for the Lady Cats.
