West Branch girls outlast Fitch

The Warriors improved to 5-5 with a 49-40 win Monday.

Beloit, OH (WKBN) – The West Branch girls basketball team defeated Austintown Fitch, 49-40 Monday at West Branch High School.

It was a back and forth game in the first half, but the Warriors led 20-15 at halftime. The Falcons came out firing in the 3rd quarter though, and took the lead with several transition buckets.

West Branch used a balanced scoring attack to pull away down the stretch for the win. Brenna Rito led the Warriors with 14 points, on 12 free throws made. Emma Rankin also added 9 for the winners.

Fitch was led by Sabryna Hunter with 18 points, while Alexis Sallee had 13.

West Branch improves to 5-5 on the season, while Fitch drops to 4-5.
