YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A planned power outage is scheduled over two days at Youngstown State University.

According to the Tribune Chronicle, two campus-wide outages are planned so aged electrical switching equipment at the university’s main substation can be replaced.

The outages will occur from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 28 and Jan. 3. The university is closed both days.

Power remained off as if 10:25 p.m. Monday evening, according to University spokesman Ron Cole. He said testing was going well and he expected power to be restored within one to one hour and 30 minutes.
