WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Warren Police are investigating an attempted robbery at the 960 Quick Stop, at the corner of Mahoning Avenue and Atlantic Street in Warren.

The robbery was reported around 4 p.m. Monday.

The store’s owner told officers that two unknown men wearing masks entered the business. One stood near the door while the other approached the counter — pulling two small handguns out and pointing them at him demanding money.

The owner said that is when he acted like he was grabbing something from under the counter, and the two ran way, going eastbound on Atlantic Avenue.

The suspects were described as two thin, light-skinned black men, between 5’8″ and 5’10” tall, both wearing dark clothing and ski masks on their faces.

During their investigation, police arrested an employee of the store — 28-year-old Joseph Glenn — on a warrant for failing to appear on a domestic violence charge. He was taken to Trumbull County Jail without incident, according to a Warren Police report.
