Niles’ Kane-Johnson reaches 1,000 in loss to McDonald

The Blue Devils ran to a 99-70 win despite Niles senior Cameron Kane-Johnson scoring 31 points.

Niles, OH (WKBN) -Cameron Kane Johnson needed just 14 points to reach 1,000 for his career on Tuesday night. The Niles senior got that, and then some, scoring 31 in a 99-70 loss to McDonald.

The scoring mark wasn’t the only milestone though. The game between Niles and McDonald was the first between the two schools since 1984.

The Blue Devils had 5 players in double figures, and were led by Matt Howard’s 21 point performance. Dylon Portolese chipped in 13 points for McDonald. Zack Fedyski, Evan Magill, and David Rebraca all had 11 points each for the Devils as well.
