WESTLAKE, Ohio (AP) – Officials at a northeast Ohio shopping center say they plan to review safety conditions after a woman was struck and killed by a sport utility vehicle inside one of its parking garages over the weekend.
Cleveland.com reports the owners of Crocker Park in Westlake decided to review safety practices after a Jeep Wrangler hit the 32-year-old woman Sunday while she walked inside a garage.
Crocker Park spokeswoman Lisa Schwan says they’re “always assessing” safety practices and will continue that in the wake of the Medina woman’s death. She says there have been no serious crashes since the center opened.
The garage remains open.
Investigators are reviewing what happened to determine whether the 21-year-old Lorain man behind the wheel of the Jeep should be charged.
