GIRARD, Ohio (WKBN) – Police have issued a warrant for a man who they say assaulted a woman in Girard earlier this month.

Police are looking for James Mrofchak, 44, who has been charged with domestic violence.

A woman in Girard told police that Mrofchak assaulted her and wanted to sell her for crack on Dec. 20.

According to the Tribune Chronicle, on Dec. 20, police went to the area of W. Second Street, where a woman said Mrofchak assaulted her. Police noted in their report that the woman had blood, scratches and swelling on her face.

The woman said Mrofchak wanted to sell her for drugs, and when she refused, he hit her several times, bound her hands behind her back and attempted to take photographs of her to use to solicit her, according to a police report.

The woman told police she broke free as Mrofchak attempted to take her to a dealer in Youngstown to be sold.
