Kennedy Catholic girls roll past Mooney

The Golden Eagles won, 56-41 Wednesday on Suicide Awareness Night, honoring the late April Bocian.

Hermitage, PA (WKBN) – The Kennedy Catholic girls basketball team defeated Cardinal Mooney, 56-41 Wednesday at Kennedy Catholic High School.

It was Suicide Awareness Night in conjunction with the April Bocian Foundation. Bocian was a star player for the Golden Eagles before she took her own life this past May.

Kennedy took an early lead in the game and never looked back. The Golden Eagles were led by Raygen Fisher with 15 points, while McKayla Fusco added 12 and K.K. Shannonhouse 11.

Maggie Monahan paced Mooney with 16 points.

Kennedy Catholic improves to 6-1 on the season and play at Ursuline next Tuesday.
