Jalisha Wylie and Andrew Stigall, charged in Youngstown gun battle and car chase on Christmas.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Two suspects in a Christmas Day gun battle and car chase involving an eight-month-old appeared in court Wednesday.

Authorities charged Jalisha Wylie, 18, with child endangerment and Anthony Stigal, 19, with felonious assault.

Mahoning County Children Services took custody of an 8-month-old baby girl on Christmas Day, who they believe is Wylie’s daughter. Youngstown Police said Wylie had her during the gun battle and car chase.

Officers responded to a call from a woman around 1:00 Christmas morning. She said she was at the Shell gas station on Market St., when a vehicle drove past, and its occupants started shooting at her from the sunroof.

The woman told police that she followed the vehicle, and the passengers continued firing. She followed them down Market St. and Florida Ave. until police stopped it at E. Avondale Ave. and Gibson St.

YPD also recovered two guns from the car.
