Harding (6-1) at Poland (8-0)
…Last year, these two powerhouses split their season series while sharing a piece of the All-American Conference Red championship. Harding began the season with a 6-0 mark before falling to St. Ignatius in their last outing (75-62). The Bulldogs have posted a perfect 8-0 record. The Bulldog defense has allowed 54 points or less in each of their contests this year so far.
Poland has allowed their opponents to score an average of 46.9 points this season. Harding has scored an average of 84.3 through seven games.
Boardman (5-3) at Howland (5-4)
…The Spartans have won four of their last five games while allowing 47 points or less to be scored by their opposition in each of the last three games. Howland has won their last three contests after a 2-4 start.
Boardman has scored an average of 52.3 points per game this season. Howland has allowed an average of 64.4 through their first nine contests.
Wellsville (8-1) at East Liverpool (7-3)
…The Tigers have run off five wins in a row since falling to Lisbon (69-37) on December 11. East Liverpool began the season with a 2-2 mark but have won five of their last six.
Lisbon (8-1) at Jackson-Milton (0-8)
…Lisbon is looking to rebound after their overtime loss last week against East Liverpool. The 8-1 Blue Devils have scored 70 points or more in all but one of their games this season. Josh Craig is 19 points shy of reaching the 1,000-point plateau – a milestone which will likely come at home on Friday when they meet Leetonia.
Mathews (5-2) at Bristol (7-1)
…The Panthers only setback this season was a 2-point loss to South Range at the Hope Classic on December 12. In their last two matchups, the Panthers have averaged 92 points. Bristol has given up just 39.9 points this season. After falling to Maplewood (72-54) on December 22, the Mustangs rebounded for a 63-46 victory over St. John last Wednesday. Mathews is averaging 65.7 points per contest this year.
Girard (4-5) at McDonald (9-0)
…Girard has lost 5 games this season; however, four of those losses were by a total of 19 points against Liberty (59-56), Champion (75-72), Newton Falls (60-53) and LaBrae (64-58). The Indians have won their last two. McDonald enters this matchup with the most prolific offense this side of Ohio by averaging 93.3 points per game.
New Castle (11-0) at Ambridge (5-3)
…The Red Hurricanes are 11-0 with a matchup with Parkway rival Beaver Falls (10-1) on the horizon (on Friday). New Castle is seeking their 5th win of the season in the conference while the Bridgers are vying for their third win (fourth in a row) since returning from the Doc Larson Roundball Classic in Alaska.
