Former Canfield superintendent dies

CANFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) – A former superintendent of the Canfield Local School District has died.

Dante Zambrini died suddenly at his home Monday afternoon. He was 61.

Zambrini retired from Canfield Schools in 2012. He then took a job as interim vice president of Eastern Gateway Community College.

He was a graduate of Ursuline High School and earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Youngstown State University, according to Zambrini’s obituary.

The calling hours for Dante will be this Thursday, January 7, from 4 to 7 at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, 3701 Starr Center, in Canfield.

The funeral will be Friday at at 11 AM at St. Michael’s in Canfield.
