Harding sends Poland to first loss

Gabe Simpson's three-point play with :17 remaining proved to be the game-winner as Warren Harding outlasted Poland 62-59 Tuesday night.

POLAND, Ohio (WKBN) – Gabe Simpson’s three-point play with :17 remaining proved to be the game-winner as Warren Harding outlasted Poland 62-59 Tuesday night.

Simpson finished with a team-high 19 points for the Raiders.  Shakem Johnson tallied 16, while Derek Culver added 11 in the win.

Poland was led by Jared Burkert who racked up a game-high 21 points.  Nick Buccieri added 16, while Matt Baker chipped in with 11.

Warren Harding improves to 7-1 on the season.  The Raiders host Cleveland Heights Saturday night.

Poland drops to 8-1 on the season, and will visit Edgewood Friday night.
