NASHVILLE, Tennessee (WKRN) – A man was saved from a sign above Interstate 65 early Tuesday evening about two hours after he climbed on top.
The road was shut down in both directions at Rosa Parks Blvd. around 3:30 p.m. as they worked to rescue the man, whose identity has not been released.
Drivers in southbound lanes were turned around and rerouted off the highway around 5 p.m., but northbound drivers remained at a standstill until the scene was cleared just before 6 p.m.
At this time, it isn’t clear what the man’s intentions were or why he climbed the sign.
