GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD)– Panera is now serving up “clean” soups.
The restaurant chain announced this week it has finished stripping out all artificial ingredients from its entire selection of soups.
The company said Panera chefs spent more than a year testing revised recipes to come up with the clean soups. Panera said they tweaked the broccoli cheddar soup alone more than 60 times.
Panera previously promised to banish dozens of artificial ingredients by the end of 2015.
Its packaged soups sold in stores will be free of all “No No List” additives by the end of the year, the company said.
Panera sells approximately 200 million services of soup each year, according to the company news release.
