Terranova helps Jackson Milton girls outlast McDonald

Michaelina Terranova scored 19 points as the Blue Jays held off a second half rally from the Blue Devils.

McDonald, OH (WKBN) – The Jackson Milton girls basketball team held off a second half rally from McDonald to win, 53-46 Thursday at McDonald High School.

The Blue Jays led 27-22 at halftime but went cold in the 3rd quarter as the Blue Devils mounted their comeback. McDonald took a three point lead at one point, but Jackson Milton closed the gap and hit their free throws down the stretch to secure the victory.

Michaelina Terranova led the Jays with 19 points, while the Totani sisters added 26 points combined…Ashley with 14 and Kaitlyn 12.

Sara Joseph scored a game-high 23 points for McDonald, while Sam Homa added 12.

Jackson Milton improves to 12-1 on the season, and McDonald falls to 10-2 overall.
