Man reports being robbed on Willard Ave. in Warren

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Police are investigating a reported robbery on Willard Avenue SE.

The robbery occurred at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday, according to a Warren Police report.

A man told police that he withdrew $500 from an ATM at Home Savings and Loan. He said he then walked south on Willard Avenue near the school when a man approached him, struck him from behind with a piece of wood and knocked him to the ground.

The unknown man then ran off after taking $500 from his pocket, according to the report.

The man described his assailant as a heavy set black man, approximately 5’11”, wearing grey pants and a brown coat.
