Mincher’s 32 pushes Springfield past United

The Tigers overcame a slow start to defeat the Golden Eagles, 76-60 Friday night.

Springfield, OH (WKBN) – The first quarter was back and forth at Springfield Local High School Friday, but the Tigers used a strong second quarter and second half to defeat United, 76-60.

Springfield led 17-16 after one, but outscored the Golden Eagles 20-12 in the 2nd quarter to take a nine point lead at halftime.

Senior Graham Mincher continued his stellar season with a game-high 32 points for Springfield. Jake Ford also had 17 points, while Jordan Capouellez added 10.

United was led by Jake Clark and Kaden Smith with 19 points apiece.

Springfield improves to 7-3 overall, while United drops to 3-9 on the season.
