Wellsville outlasts Columbiana

Justin Miller scored 14 points off the bench to help Wellsville top Columbiana Friday night.

WELLSVILLE, OH (WKBN)-Wellsville picked up their tenth win of the season Friday night as the Tigers held on against a late Columbiana push 37-32.

Both teams played tight defense throughout leaving scoring chances few and far between for both teams.

Wellsville standout Justin Miller sat the entire first quarter due to a coaches decision as the Tigers held on to a slim 8-6 lead after Columbiana’s Gannon Hartley beat the buzzer to cut the lead to just 2.

But Miller nailed two threes on his first two shots of the 2nd quarter to give Wellsville some breathing room, he had 14 on the evening.

Hartley led the Clippers with 11.

The Tigers improve to 10-1 overall.
