Former Ohio State player signs autographs in Niles

Former Ohio State running back, Ezekiel Elliott, visited the Eastwood Mall.

NILES, Ohio (WKBN) – Buckeye fans got the chance to get up close and personal with an Ohio State star at the Eastwood Mall on Saturday.

Former OSU running back, Ezekiel Elliott, signed autographs for a few hundred people at the Everything Buckeyes store.

Fans paid between $70 and $80 for each item they wanted to have signed. Others were able to get a picture with the former player.

Elliott is heading to the NFL draft after a strong junior season capped by four touchdowns in Ohio State’s win in the Fiesta Bowl.

“It was a good opportunity to go out there and establish my legacy,” he said. “It was great being out there one last time with my guys, getting a ‘W.’ It accomplishes what we wanted to.”

Elliott is one of nine Buckeye underclassmen to declare for the draft. Experts say he will almost certainly be a first-round pick, and the first running back selected.
