Powerball drawing produces many winners in Pa.

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. (WKBN) – As the Powerball jackpot continues to climb — with Wednesday’s drawing reaching a world-record of $1.4 billion — there were numerous winners of smaller cash prizes.

The Pennsylvania Lottery says across the state, there hundreds of thousands of winners, including a $1 million winner, seven $150,000 winners and numerous $50,000 winners after Saturday’s drawing.

The $1 million winning ticket matched the five white balls drawn, 16-19-32-34-57, but not the red Powerball 13. The retailer, Wilson’s Check Cashing in Philadelphia, earned a selling bonus of $5,000.

Seven winning Powerball tickets sold in Pennsylvania matched four of five numbers drawn plus the Powerball, and purchased Power Play, each receiving $150,000. Those tickets were sold at the following retailers, which will each receive a $500 selling bonus:

  • Get Go, Bridgeville, Allegheny County
  • Wegmans Food Market, Erie
  • Rutters, Fayetteville, Franklin County
  • Al’s Quick Shop, Dunmore, Lackawanna County
  • 220 Pit Stop, Hughesville, Lycoming County
  • The Point Store, McClure, Mifflin County
  • Turkey Hill, Ashland, Schuylkill County
