Speed restrictions lifted in Mercer County

OIL CITY, Pa. (WKBN) – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation lifted the speed limit restrictions that were in place on several roadways in the northwest region, including Mercer County.

Speed limits were reduced Tuesday to 45 miles per hours on Interstate 79 in Mercer and Crawford counties and on Interstate 80 in Mercer and Venango counties because of the winter weather.

All speeds are restored to their posted limits.

PennDOT is continuing to treat roadways in the area and will continue until roads are clear.
