Czopur hits 1,000 as South Range rolls

The Raiders' senior finished with 28 points in a 74-35 win over the Tigers.

Canfield, OH (WKBN) – South Range senior Morgan Czopur eclipsed 1,000 career points in a 74-35 win over Springfield Thursday at South Range High School.

The Raiders got off to a fast start and led 36-14 at halftime. Czopur needed just 27 points coming into the game to reach the mark and she finished with 28 on the night. Czopur becomes the first one thousand point scorer for the Raiders since Robin Thayer in 1998.

Maddie Durkin also scored 19 points, while Lynnie Ritter added 12. The Raiders remain perfect in league play at 4-0, and move to 13-2 overall. The Tigers fall to 4-9.
